Experience the setting of many Habsburg weddings at Augustinerkirche, where Archduchess Maria Theresa wedded Duke Francis of Lorraine, and Archduchess Marie Louise wedded Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte of France. Built in the 14th century as the parish church of the Imperial Court, the church is attached to the winter palace of the Habsburg dynasty, and is renowned for its choir and music. It includes a memorial for Maria Theresa's favorite daughter, Maria Christina, and a crypt housing the hearts of many Habsburg monarchs. The choir and musicians sing high mass at each Sunday sermon, which are open to the general public. Note that the sermon is conducted in German. This church is right by the Royal library entrance. It’s a nice church and would stand out in most places. But Vienna has better churches to see so I found it just average.
