  • We visited resort area which is really nice. One can spend all day there or stay overnight in several private rooms. There is a chicken playground, petite zoo, etc. Food is excellent. We liked mangal salad, Lula kabob, etc. Number one item is sheikh's pilaf ( takes over 2 hrs to be prepared)
  • The nearest forest to Baku.
  • Nice park looks like deep jungle
  • Altiagadzh National Park is located in two districts: Khizyn and Siyazan, this is in the north-east of the country. The name of the park comes from the word "agadzh" - a measure of distance, was approximately 7 kilometers, and "alti" in the local dialect means six. This national park was created with the aim of developing ecotourism, protecting natural complexes, preserving and restoring the flora and fauna of the area, and preserving the natural landscape of the southeastern ridge of the Greater Caucasus. The Atachay River and several of its tributaries flow through the territory of the Altaiagadzh National Park. Part of the park is covered with deciduous forests, the main types of trees here are Caucasian oak, Caucasian hornbeam, oriental beech, ash and birch.
