Beshbarmag Mountain, Siyazan

This is an amazing mountain!

On the mountain Beshbarmag there are still remains of ancient fortifications, which were built by the Sassanian rulers in the early medieval period and date back to the 6th-7th centuries. Behind the mountain are the ruins of the ancient city of Khursangal, which dates from the 3rd century BC. It speaks of the antiquity of this rock. Currently, at the foot of Mount Beshbarmag, the holy place “Pir Hydyr Zinda” is located, where travelers stop to perform prayers and worship. There is a myth that allegedly the prophet Hizir (Hydyr), who is a mythical creature in green clothes, in search of the elixir of life, visited the surroundings of the mountain, where he found the source of "living water" in the underworld. After drinking from the source, he gained immortality. That is why this place began to be called by his name - Hızır Zindey (Hydyr Zinda).

Great scenery of nature but stairs on the mountain are dangerous be careful. And dont go this place on summer it's very hot

Besh Barmang literally translated as FIVE FINGERS, is in Siazan District of Azerbaijan. You can find this beautiful mountain on the way to Quba from Baku. The mountain rises to 382m above sea level overlooking the Baku-Quba highway. The mountain is a solid rock and one of the famous mountains in the Caucasus, known for it mythical stories.
