Walk through the history of Tintin at the Belgian Comic Strip Center, which celebrates the art of the comic. The center is housed inside a former department store designed by Art Nouveau architect Victor Horta, whose great glass ceiling lets in enough natural light to illuminate the museum galleries. Exhibits showcase French, English, and Dutch comic art from its earliest days to the present. An extensive Tintin exhibit is the main attraction with the history of the artwork and its creator, and even life-size models of the characters. Browse copies of some of Europe's best-known comics and graphic novels in the reading room and library. A self-guided tour is the most popular way to explore the building and the exhibits, because information about each exhibit is available in multiple languages. PutBelgian Comic Strip Center into our Brussels day trip planning site and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

Nice museum for kids. As a fun of smurfs I expected something more. The building is excellent and book store is located at the basement. Even if you have booked your tickets you have to wait at line. If you don't have kids maybe it's not worth it

Comic strip museum. This museum offers a lot of exhibitions on the history and development of the comic strip, from earliest history to modern times. Unfortunately there's no audio guide, and I found the exhibitions a bit sparse. The place is huge, but a lot of it is empty space. The things that are there, are really well displayed, with a lot of nice photo ops. The Louvre exhibition is also quite well done.

I love this place! If you are a comic book lover like I am then I HIGHLY recommend this museum. I have always learned comic history from a United States perspective, this was a chance to learn the history from a new set of eyes. The temporary special exhibits that were there were fascinating and on top of it the museum is located in an incredibly beautiful building. Cannot wait to return!

Good museum dedicated to comics! Maybe exhibition can be a bit more interactive and fun, it is mostly cardboard panels with few objects and movies. Good for around 45 minutes maybe.

This is an excellent museum for any comic fans in Brussels. There are three different floors. There is also an app that if you download it you can scan specific statues and plaques that shows you the augmented reality version of what you scanned. This museum is an excellent place to visit if you are a tourist in Belgium and are looking to pass some time.
