Charles-de-Gaulle Bridge, Dinant

We took the opportunity to stop by this charming town on the way from Metz to Calais and so pleased we did. Colourful restaurants and businesses populate the river front, which if photographed from the opposite side of the river looks like a model village. The Beautiful church towers over them and looks almost Eastern European. There is a huge fortress towering over the town which is accessible it seems by cable car. The town authorities have done a great job beautifying this town and its bridge to attract visitors and we hope to revisit to explore more. Paid parking seems to be plentiful. Public Toilets not so! However if you visit the Tourist Centre, toilets are available there.

This is a bridge on the river Meuse. When in Dinant, you will see this bridge while exploring the city and the surroundings. Would suggest to park the car and take a walk on the bridge and the surroundings. A sunny day gives all the more charm to this city. A few more places to explore around this bridge. Walking around would be a good choice. One of the good places to spend a relaxed time with family & friends. Recommend it.

Nice bridge with a view of Dinant citadel and Notre Dame church. The bridge is decorated with different patterned saxophones because this city is the birth place of Adolphe Sax. This is a very important historic bridge which was existent since the roman times and you can find the history in the museum of the citadel.

Dinant: small town with a interesting history. Many beautiful places to sit and drink a local beer. The town is clean and you can park your car for free.

Nice place to visit , this place is a hidden gem of Belgium . It's on top of Meuse river and have lot of colorful saxophones . Amazing view at the evening , when at the backdrop is the dinant castle with well lit mountain.
