    Amazing area to visit, the architecture is spectacular with good views of the Cathedral nearby and the Town Hall located here as well. They have market on Saturdays which have amazing waffles.

    The grote markt is a beautiful square in the centre of the city, distinguishable by the tall town hall tower. A very lively place to enjoy a walk and admire the architecture. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and bars nearby.

    The city square of Mechelen is surrounded by old and interesting buildings, the town hall and cathedral as the most famous - but don't forget the old prison... Loads of cafes and pubs.

    If you read this, you are probably on your way there. Naturally worth a visit to stand in awe of the architecture of days gone buy. On a good day sit on a bench or at a restaurant and enjoy the views .
