Genipabu Beach
Nestled inside an important environmental protection area, Genipabu Beach often feature prominently on postcards of Rio Grande do Norte. Internationally famous for its dune buggy rides, the beach features a freshwater lagoon and plenty of tourist facilities. Besides riding or sandboarding over the huge golden dunes, you can swim, snorkel, dive, or simply relax right by the water’s edge. Several tourist operators provide visitors with a unique chance to ride camels over some of the highest dunes in the country. If you choose a camel ride adventure, be sure to bring lots of water, sunglasses, and plenty of sunscreen. Make Genipabu Beach a part of your Natal vacation plans using our Natal trip itinerary site.

Lots of sand, salt, and sun. If you're looking for beach, this one is very nice.
-
Warm water, unforgettable water color, the sand feels good when stepping on. Nature presents beautiful as itself.
-
Nice beach to visit and surf. Close to the dunes, it offers a beautiful visual. It can get pretty dirty, though, cause people often drop waste on the sand... There could be more trash bins to try to encourage people to discard their waste properly (although this is no excuse).

Fantastic incredibly beautiful seaside village about half an hour north by road from Natal's bridges across Rio Potengi from Natal, Rn. Beautiful safe to bathe beach lined with lots of beachside restaurants good for fish or meat dishes. Dunes above beach are awesome and maybe climbed by athletic & sure footed or tours led by buggy drivers available from US $60 through dunes from Genipabu village or from around US $ 100 from Natal. Tours may continue on to Pitangui & Cape Riangha eastern most point of Rio Grande do Norte state. In rainy season April to early August ;Genipabu near & after sunset is especially famous for it's mosquitos which seem to be a particular curse for fair skinned visitors. Hotel Genipabu high in hills with its own swimming pool tends to avoid the problems with mosquitos. Visitors should also try by car or buggy try the raft ferry at nearby Gracendu & see the seaside mansions of Natal's political elite. At weekends & in January & February village maybe at times crowded but midweek visits are usually quieter & much more rewarding.
