Create an itinerary including Copacabana Beach
Lively Copacabana Beach features warm waters and a wide stretch of white sand, with numerous hotels, restaurants, bars, and night clubs dotting its promenade. You can swim, play sports, relax on the sand, enjoy freshly-caught fish delicacies, and soak up the atmosphere of one of Brazil’s most popular tourist destinations. The beach is policed and lit all through the night, so it’s always abuzz with hundreds of visitors, musicians, and food vendors. Take a leisurely sunset walk on the beach’s iconic walkway, and stay late to see locals singing, dancing, and playing footvolley right on the water’s edge. Remember to always swim where the locals do, and leave all your valuables at the hotel. • Nice long beach! I felt safe as a tourist especially during carnaval. Lots of people, celebrating all the way in the metros. Never a dull moment in Brazil!
  • Clean beach with lot of activities happening. Plenty of things to shop around. Bargain and negotiate as much as possible. Lot of options in food. Beware of people calling "Amigos" they will try to scam you. Please 🙏 Like if you find this helpful.
  • Had a wild experience at Copacabana beaches in Brazil. A must come back. Beautiful people from all walks of life.
  • Legendary beach with beautiful sand but that’s pretty much it. Overly crowded? vendors bothering you every minutes even when you pretend to sleep. It’s worth checking out if you are in Rio because it is Copacabana after all but I’d rather spend my time at Ipanema or Leblon. About $R10 to rent a chair and umbrellas are $R15-25 depending in size.
  • Beautiful iconic beach in the middle of Rio de Janeiro. It’s a little more crowded and louder than Ipanema but fun and worth the visit. Rent a chair and umbrella from the team in front of the Copacabana Hotel. If you have limited time I would vote to visit Ipanema as it’s cleaner and less crowded.
