Leblon Beach, Rio de Janeiro

Together with same stretch Ipanema the best beaches of Rio. Tourists go to Copacabana, residents go to Ipanema-Leblon.

Superb beach in Rio de Janeiro, very very beautiful. Water quality is nothing to worry about, it's super safe and quite good. Some kiosks (the ones in the sand) offer bar and chair service, and they usually are not very expensive. Other kiosks, closer to the sidewalk, offer a more complete / comfortable service (and have not long ago been renovated - well maintained), like large food dishes, if you're looking for a place to have your meals, and/or drinks / cocktails - best if you to choose to stay at the kiosks at the sidewalk after the beach or at night. But these kiosks are also great if you just want to relax and enjoy the day out at the beach in a rainy or cloudy weather. The beaches in Rio are great at any time really :))) While visiting Leblon's beach, there's a lot to do, not only sunbathing or exercising, but also it's possible to swim in the open sea, surf, stand up paddle, skim board, volleyball, beach tennis, badminton, racquetball games, football, kitesurf, as well as read and take photos of the scenery. It's not pretentious to say that this is the best beach in the city. Most wonderful spot and good if you're looking for some peace, away from the crowds. Highly recommended while in Rio.

Nice barracas on the Beach, rent a chair and umbrella, have a snack a drink, play foot volley, beach tennis

This is one of the best beaches to watch the sunset with the "Morro dos irmãos" completing the picture. The mood is very cheerful, with music, dancing, volleyball. It's a really enjoyable experience.
