Create an itinerary including Praia de Grumari
Unwind and enjoy the rustic nature at Praia de Grumari, an environmentally protected zone featuring six pristine beaches in Rio de Janeiro's only unpopulated neighborhood. Buffered by rainforest-covered mountains, the dense salt marsh greenery provides necessary shade. The long golden sandy stretches here remain the only nude beach around the city. Free of development save a few modest bars, this beach leaves enough room for visitors--unlike most other popular Rio spots. Waves can get rough, so you need to be a good swimmer (surfing is also possible). Bring your own food and drinks. Discover how to plan a Rio de Janeiro trip in just a few steps with Klarna Trips's itinerary builder.

  • Chilled-out, secluded beach spot. The only drawback is that cell phone reception is very bad so it's hard to get an Uber when it's time to leave. The restaurant near the entrance will let you use...

  • Beauty. It is an unmissable visit for all visitors. It comes easily. There are no lines to enter and they do not charge entrance. For lovers of architecture and art it is an incredible place.

  • A nice, undeveloped, and sometimes deserted beach. Get there early and there will be lots of parking. Some of the kiosks sell drinks and food and rent chairs. We went on a Sunday and it was empty...

  • Nice little beach at the very end of the reserve ( road past this beach climbs up and over the cliffs and then back down to Guaratiba) Rock wall jutting out on right side shelters the beach from wind so it makes it nice for swimming and a little less windy than some of the more open beaches.. Plenty of little kiosk restaurants with seating ,( or they will bring food right to your spot on the beach) some beach chair and umbrella rentals if needed, in early evenings some Capybara often come out grazing here as well .. Pretty much all kiosks , etc... Close here close to sunset
  • Nice beach but no network. Just be careful since there is no network and it might be difficult to order an UBER back
  • Excellent place, not overcrowded and with a good service, parking is possible, on some places there is connection of you want to call an UBER, dogs are allowed
  • Really long secluded stretch of beach with few people. Very nice dandy beaches. Romantic and relaxing.
  • Great environmental protection space, beautiful beach 🌴 🌴 🌴 🌴 🌴, very special place
