Rupel Winery, Dolno Spanchevo

We had an excellent experience here including tasting and winery tour. Highly recommended. Anita was great.

Nice winery, view and flexibility. We were the last visitors of the day and the charcuterie, wines and company were very nice. The hostess was very accommodating and friendly. The grounds are impressive and the wines were nice.

They need reservation for tasting but still they helped us for tasting. It was free and they were super helpful. Especially gramatik series is nice to drink.

A traveling friend and I stopped by the winery unannounced and participated in an impromptu tour and tasting with the winery owner and the winery tour guide (acted as English translator for owner and excellent source of comic relief). This was one of the best wine tours and tastings I have ever experienced. The passion for wine was unmistakable and the end product was amazing! My friend and I bought a suitcase just to ship home the 16 bottles that we purchased after the tasting. Well worth the trip! Personally, I find the reds at Rupel to be just a bit superior to those at Villa Melnik winery (noting that Villa Melnik has some outstanding wines). I would go back to Bulgaria just to visit the winery again!

This is the best winery we've been to in Bulgaria. We were greeted by the owner, just a wonderful person. He loves his job so much. He taught us how to cut grapevines, told us many interesting stories and gave us tastings of many different wines. All wines are very good. Merlot, grammar and rosé are simply some of the best. The place is clean to a shine. In general, we bought more different wines, we will drink at home with friends and remember. We will definitely return! I advise everyone.
