Sofia History Museum, Sofia

Beautiful! Worth visiting this part of Sofia. There is a small history museum on the back which I definitely recommend. A lot of benches around the fountain where a person can rest and enjoy the view. Only downside is that sometimes homeless people use the same benches to sleep on.

Very good place to get an overview of Bulgarian history. Very valuable and precious artifacts. But the chronological order is not fair honestly. Neolithic and Roman periods didn't have that much of attention comparing with late 18 and early 19 century. Service can be improved

Really pretty building! There is a lovely fountain in front of the building as well and the grounds are shaded by large trees which makes sitting on the grounds really pleasant. We were not able to go inside the history Museum because we got there after hours but we hope to go there another time. It was really something to look at from the outside though and I recommend coming here.

Interesting museum with various explanations! Only cash is accepted (leva). There are different rooms with several exhibitions. It doesn't take pretty long to visit the whole museum. It's a must if you come to Sofia!

The museum🏛️ has 8 different halls and 2 halls for temporary exhibitions. From ancient times to world war two. One of the temporary exhibitions even depicted what life was like in Sofia in the 80s. The entrance fee🎟️ also wasn't expensive the fee for students is 2lv💵. Also you can buy really beautiful post cards at the entrance🎴.
