Part of the Angkor complex, Preah Khan consists of a Buddhist sanctuary surrounded by rectangular galleries. The 12th-century ruins enclosing an area of 56 hectares (140 acres) remain mostly unrestored and covered by vegetation. As you roam the carved corridors and walk through a myriad of doors, try to find hidden statues representing various scenes from Buddhist tradition. • Be very aware of one of the guards in Preah Khan. He will help you take pictures and then will lead you into a quiet inner section and demand money from you.

  • This temple was a little out of the way compared to the others but worth the bike ride. It's certainly not as huge as the others but has a great entrance walkway and what we didn't notice until we...

  • This temple was absolutely amazing. One of the best temples in all of Ankor Wat! The feeling of mystery and shroud here are infinite. The location is beautifully set along with some amazing amazing information (the most interesting in the entire ankor complex) set near the imposing entryway guarded by many stone statues. The story of this temple like one or two others is one of conservation efforts and blending structures with nature itself. Probably the most interesting place in the area. It feels like an endless maze inside due to the architectural genius. Highly recommended to stop in the little house area left of the sign to read about the temple as its one of the few that provides any meaningful info on what you’re actually seeing. This is a MUST VISIT location on your tour.
  • There are 3 entrances to this temple. The temple have a very simple layout, but it feels like walking into a hall of infinity mirror. So cool! Many people will walk pass the library, because there is no sign to stop by. Like many other temples in Angkor, there aren’t much of artifacts or statues left, as there were all looted long time ago. Many of the halls are also left in ruin and you can’t walk into it.
  • Loved exploring this ruin. The Approach Guide describes 6-7 features to look for in this temple along with a guide on how to find them. It was quite the treasure hunt , trying to figure out where these features were. It's got elements of Hindu mythology which we loved like Krishna lifting Mount Govardhan and Reclining Vishnu.
  • A hidden gem of the Angkor Archaeological Park. Less visitors and quieter. Off the beaten track of the popular temples. A large ruins with a unique feature: two long corridors which run north/south and east/west. At the point where they intersect there's a stupa which, when viewed from a few meters back, has a what appears to be a flame at it's tip. This is created by a flame shaped hole in the wall which light into the darkened interior space. Well worth an hour or so of your time. Safe travels, Mega.
  • Less-known temple where you could see the long corridor of the temple which is very amazed. The temple itself has stunning two story structure which was built to keep the sword in the past.
