Walk through a 1920’s Canadian town as you learn and observe the traditional trades at Burnaby Village Museum. The buildings of the town are a mix of original constructions and recreations of older buildings made to house artifacts of the early 20th century. Staff members dress in period clothing as they display traditional artisan skills and live as though it were the 1920s. Visitors can wander the town and view the artifacts, which includes a 1920’s carousel that is available to ride. A restaurant in the village provides food options. Make Burnaby Village Museum a centerpiece of your Burnaby vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Burnaby day trip planning app.

I went there after a nice lunch and it was interesting to see all the old-style buildings and all the decorations for this time of the year. Will be back again in the summer.

Wonderful place to learn about history of last decade. Specially recommended to families with younger kids. Nice job for Christmas decoration and beautiful lighting. Very kind and helpful staff which make your visit more enjoyable. It takes about 45 minutes to visit all the place. If you are coming during Christmas I would recommend to spend longer here and enjoy lights. Admission is free and free parking provided. Not enough parking space though.

Amazing place during Christmas season. The lights around the village make it magic. With the early sunset during winter plan to come by 3 or 4pm and then enjoy the lights. Parking is limited but you can park on deer lake parking. It was cold so come prepared because the temperature usually drops during the evening. The admission is free.

CANADA DAY 2022! free, so loads of people. better to go there when it's not busy so you can soak up the reading and pic taking if you are that kind of person. everything was kept up really nice considering all the buildings are mostly 100yrs old. it was good to go in and see how small everything was compared to living in Vancouver now. how a "village" could operate long time ago is very interesting in deed. there is ice cream shop with hot lunch also served. washroom is beside it. but no one realizes that there is more than 1 washroom there. cleanest and not used washroom in the area is in the Carousel. i only saw only a few women using that area compared to the very accessible washroom.

A wonderful place with a wealth of history. Several heritage houses of 100+ years, kept in prisinte condition and enhanced by well manicured gardens (including some vegetable gardens). One of the major attractions is a 110 year old carousel ride. The staff are amazing and knowledgeable. Definitely worth checking out.
