Great walking paths, clear and easy to follow even in deep snow. Plenty of open space and route options. Lovely views of the river and city.

We like to bring the kids here as there is a great park on the island. It is one of the few parks in Calgary where the whole park is covered with shade from trees. The island is surrounded by water..... more

Beautiful place to visit and gorgeous walk along the river! Connects to Fort Calgary and East Village. Pay parking on the Zoo West side, washrooms open in mid spring and summer.

Calm and relaxing park away from too much people (mostly they are in Prince’s Island Park) There’s a pond where you can have a picnic, chill on a blanket, throw stones on the water or just look at the calm canopy of trees. St. Patrick Island is a bit long, connected to Calgary Zoo. There’s a really good trail for running, fireplace/grill, clean washrooms and parking lot.
