  • This is the same as East Quoddy Light and I already wrote a lot there so I will just recommend checking the reviews there as well,

  • A very cool, but dangerous, hike to see a magnificent lighthouse. The hike makes it incredibly clear why the lighthouse is needed! The tides here are an amazing testament to the power of nature, rising 5ft/hr and can leave people stranded without hope of rescue for 8hrs. Be careful! At low tide the hike requires a tricky crossing of seaweed-laden rocks, a sand beach, several steep and rickety ladders that illustrate just how high the tide goes, and a cute little bridge.
  • This is quite the experience compared to a regular lighthouse visit! The lighthouse area is only accessible during low tides. You climb down a steep ladder to the exposed shore area, then walk along a bit until climbing back up to walk around the lighthouse. There is a modest admission fee, but the views and adventure to get there is well worth your time!
  • Beautiful Lighthouse and buildings. I enjoyed the hike over to it. It was difficult in a couple of places but we'll worth the climb! I am 70 years old and was proud I did it!
  • We enjoyed our trek over to the lighthouse during low tide! However, it does have very steep stairs to climb up and down! You also must maneuver over large boulders covered in seaweed! The guy that sold us our ticket failed to give us any information! For instance, when high tide was coming, so how much time we had to get over to the lighthouse and back! This area has strong rip tides so if you don't return before high tide, you are spending the night!
  • This is a really nice place to go, not just to see the Lighthouse, but the area around it too. Beware of the tides and know when they will be doing what, if you walk to the Lighthouse and are not paying attention you WILL get stranded until the tide ebs out enough to be able to walk back to the parking area. The lighthouse itself is not the most impressive, but it is still worth the trip, the scene around it makes it worthwhile. Use the ArriveCAN app to make crossing the border into NB-Canada easier.
