Quarry Lake, Canmore

This is a very nice lake. After attempting 3 other nearby lakes this was the winner !! We really enjoyed our time here . There is alot of room for everyone to enjoy there day! The water gets very deep. There is a trail all around the lake. The sand/shallow area is very limited/small. We found a nice grass area and enjoyed a couple hours here. Parking was $10 / 2 hours

A beautiful lake! I went here with my family over the weekend to go paddleboarding and it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. We arrived at 9:45am - parking lot only had a few cars parked, most people we saw were walking their dogs on trails around the lake. When we went to the lake, there were only two people and who were also setting their paddleboards up. We stayed there for 4 hours - pay parking is $10/2hr ; $20/4hrs. There were many outhouses/open pit toilets provided around the area (as per usual, they were clean initially but began to smell throughout the day due to frequent use). Quarry Lake is quite clean. The water is warm enough to swim in! Activities on the lake include paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, mini cliff diving, snorkeling, fishing, - there were also some in floaties/inflatable boats ! There are also picnic tables around the lake, benches and trails! We definitely enjoyed our stay here and will come back soon!

If you are in Canmore, do go there. A nice place to have mountains, a small lake with crystal clear water perfectly taking the reflections. Beautiful and photogenic place, if you are shutter bug! Wash room facility, nice parking ( 20$ for 4 hours) and a plain trail. You would love to be there, and if you are having your food, you can have nice PICNIC!!

Gorgeous place to go for a swim and cool off. Plenty of spots to set up a picnic along the lake. There’s even an elevated place to jump off into the lake. The water was very clean and warm, people were fishing, paddle boarding, etc. theres a dog park nearby, a few walks and plenty of parking

Such a beautiful lake! It’s so nice in every season. There’s a nice trail that goes all around the lake and a fairly big parking lot. Only downside is now you have to pay for parking.
