This lovely home built in 1909 by the Canadian Western Lumber Company also known as Fraser Mills. This little home is a gem not to be missed. The volunteers do a great job giving tours and planning.... more

So thankful to Shamina Senaratne of Coquitlam Heritage for taking the time to give me a personalised tour of Mackin House and sharing their history and their vision of what Coquitlam Heritage could be as we grow our community. Mackin House is so much more than a history of Fraser Mills, its a repository of all the various cultures that have built and are building this great community we call hone.

Our visit was reduced to one floor due to Covid19. The set up and presentation was both informative and interesting. A suggestion would be to provide more informatio and historical facts about the house itself and the local surroundings leading up to the startup and demise of the mill and community.
