Rafter Six Ranch Resort, Exshaw

Excellent experience! Staff were very personal and you can tell they take great care for their horses. We did the 2hr ride and we got to see beautiful trails right along the river with several viewpoints of the mountains. Guide was super nice and the property was amazing as well! I would recommend this to anyone who asked and definitely would go back.

I found this gorgeous ranch by searching through Google Maps! And what a gem 💎😃 A splendid experience with fantastic horses 🐎 All that you’ll be riding are broken, which means they’re well-trained (yes, you’ll pick up some jargon like that as well 😎) Extremely friendly staff, quite professional and always in control of the situation, making sure everyone is doing all right and having fun. They’ll also teach you a couple of tips and tricks for horse riding along the way. I had a 2 hr beginner’s trail ride with them and it’s been an indelible experience ☺️ Do not miss out if you’re in the area 🏇

2 hour trail ride with two guides. Was great! Beautiful countryside and views. Very hot day so glad we started early (9:30).

Awesome experience. The staff, were very up-close and personal, although as well maintaining the professional aspect. We did the 2 hour journey, which was wonderful. Nice forest, a few clearings, went near the stream, went up a ridge, even saw a Deer. Would come back again if the opportunity prevailed itself.

Rafter Six Ranch is an absolutely lovely place! We were here on our honeymoon 19 years ago, sadly through some shady deals with lawyers and realtors, the owners lost the main portion of their property. HOWEVER, they still have the horses and do trail rides (we're going on a 2 hour ride this morning), they have "boondocking" camping available which we also are doing. Sunrise and sunset are gorgeous! It's very peaceful and laid back. The staff are amazing! I find a lot of people write it off because it's just in the foothills near Canmore. One shouldn't form an opinion on this place until it has been experienced. It's just a couple of minutes off the highway, there is a dump station on the other side of the highway. Rafter Six Ranch is worth every penny of the experience! I wish we had more than one night to stay, that may have to be another trip. We'll definitely be back!
