Really nice. We were surprised at how big it was, and how much information was available! Plus the real props for Theodore Tug Boat was there, I mean come on, who can resist gushing over that!!!

Loved the museum! Lots of interesting stuff for kids and adults. The only disappointment was that we could visit the CSS Acadia. Apparently, it is open only on Tuesdays, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm and Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 to 4:30 pm. 🤷♀️ If you have a chance, jump on a group tour about the Titanic. Our guide was incredible! The most entertaining guided tour we ever had. Outside is a good kids' playground.

This place was such a cool find!! I need to start by saying the people who work here were fantastic, greeted you with a smile and so friendly!! I was excited to come and see the Titanic exhibit and didn't really know what else to expect from the experience. I ended up loving the entire museum start to finish. They have a few great spots in there for some fun photo ops and a little observation deck up top overlooking the gorgeous waterfront. Tickets were priced right and we even got to wish Merlin the parrot a happy birthday! Check it out if you are in the area.

I am no museum expert. I had meh expectations going in to this place. But I was very much delighted by this place. So much rich history all explain and very nicely laid out. From the Halifax explosion to shipwrecks to the titanic. Very well done and enjoyable. Never thought being educational would be a huge positive but this place just kept you want more. Spent easily a couple hours here. A very large collection of very intricate models are all around. Fascinating to think of all the work out into those. Absolutely worth the money. Great place for adults and kids. Nice gift shop inside as well. I bought a shirt. No review on the shirt yet.

I highly recommend this museum for a bit of history about the area. Particularly the explosion that flattened the entire dock in the early 1900s. This was by far the most interesting part of the museum! There are also some artifacts from the Titanic. I will say that that was a bit less impressive than the explosion portion. It was really built up as a fine collection of Titanic artifacts, but there were not very many and what there was tended to be not terribly exciting (like a cabinet and a deck chair). There are guided tours of the Titanic section only that you can join. We were there at the time that a tour was being given and it was very crowded in that section. We could hear what the woman was saying and it was not really more informative than reading the signs. So I would avoid that if you want a more leisurely way to view the artifacts.

Love this museum! It is really great because you can learn more about the history of Halifax. I recommend to attend the guided tour about the Titanic, the guide is excellent and you learn a lot of interesting facts. Also, the story about the explosion is very interesting, there is a tour about that too. For the tours, just listen when they speak over the loudspeakers or ask at the ticket office when you arrive.
