Our family gave us a two-night stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. We had a beautiful room, facing the lake and enjoyed two amazing sunrises as well as peaceful evenings on the patio.

The hotel was par excellent! The rooms were large, overlooking the Lake and the restaurant was very good. The main restaurant is hard to get reservations but overall you are in the lap of luxury!

Our main reason of joining the 5days Rockies Bus Tour.. The hotel has old world charm. Be warned there are stuffed Stag heads in the lobby area. We had one of the non lake view rooms (#260).. (avg costs for non lake view depending on when you reserve per night is $700-1200 Canadian) Take the elevator to the basement and walk out the back and viola, there is the lake. We arrived late in the evening, so after you drop off your luggage, walk around the grounds, we sat on a bench by the lake and enjoyed the night sky, even with the hotel lights behind us, we can see the stars quite clearly. Get up before sun rise and go to the lake and watch the lake come to life. Hotel is attached to the public park so there will be other users around. Look for the ‘Living Room’ off the lobby main staircase, there are lots of games tables set up for board games, reading, and just relaxation area. Coffee, tea and water station also there. Nice concierge person man the desk and just check to make sure you are a guest. Our room (#260) is not big but include tea station and kettle inside the cabinet under the TV. Mini fridge also, safe is in the closet. Bathroom has no counter space so if you need more, use the desk. Swimming pool is open until 11pm for adults and gym is 24 hours.

Luxurious hotel. Rooms are nice but very small. We did have AC. Beautiful view of the lake from our room.... spectacular. Large hotel property on the lake with hiking, canoeing and lots of other recreational events. It is 5 minutes away from the town so you would be eating at the hotel restaurants unless you had transportation. Hotel restaurants are only available for hotel guests. Service is very good.

Perfection. We stayed on the 8th floor with views so astounding I could have spent my whole vacation looking out the window. Restaurants were excellent, service was excellent. My only comment on my stay is I wish they had more of a lunch menu, sure the steaks were amazing, but something can be said for some chicken strips or a veggie platter. Pool, hot tub and sauna were excellent. We went for a massage at the spa and were treated like royalty. Every employee literally wants nothing else but to make your stay better. Great job.

Booked one night here mostly for the convenience of early morning lake photos. The lake view was stunning. The interior is old fashioned but still upscale. We enjoyed the afternoon tea and dinner at two restaurants inside the hotel, The food was good but nothing gave a WOW. We arrived at the room and realized the A/C wasn't working, and later the ceiling fan/lamp couldn't be turned off as the switch was broken. Contacted the front desk but all we got was a desk fan to help cooling... So really it was a warm and bright sleep, not pleasant at all. Not sure if we were "lucky" to be in the only room that things are broken. That's why I took off the stars. Other than that all the staff are nice and helpful. I will probably stay at other hotels next time to save some bucks on tours or meals.

What a beautiful getaway experience we had! The hotel staff was extremely nice. Our room was very clean and elegant. Dining here was delightful. The cool air was quite serene and the snowy and icy terrain and mountain views were breathtaking. Would definitely recommend staying here.
