Breathe in the fresh air during an adventure through Point Pelee National Park--15 sq km (5.8 sq mi) of protected land jutting out into Lake Erie. Take the boardwalk across the marshlands and head out onto sandy spits for extensive views of the shimmering lake. As the southernmost point of mainland Canada, the park offers sights of creatures unseen elsewhere in the country, such as the fox snake and the five-lined skink. Birders have spotted about 360 different species of migratory birds in the park, which is a meeting point of two major migration paths. Put Point Pelee National Park at the forefront of your travel plans using our Leamington trip itinerary site.

What a very special place this is! You walk out on a long sand spit into Lake Erie, and you are farther south than a big chunk of the USA! The views are superb and it's blissfully warm in summer.

Amazing park! Marsh and trails full of cute frogs and turtles, pretty water lily and lots of birds. Great for bird watching, make sure to bring binocular. Another spectacular site is the top of Canada, surrounded by water from 3 directions, almost feels like at the edge of another dimension. Really worth visiting. Great restaurant nearby for fresh water yellow perch, and definitely recommend spend a day in the park. Amenities are clean and very convenient, free shuttle bus to the tip is frequent. 5/5!

Park is huge. There were webs of caterpillars scattered throughout the park ,blanketing the trees. It was very strange to see the density and quantity in the park. Very beautiful greenery. Arrived at the visitor center, very fun viewings and exhibits. Free shuttle to the main attraction of the Ontario 'tip'. It was a short walk to the point where you take a pic and move on as tourists are in a constant rotation. I loved the park, the extensive shoreline and beach scenery but I absolutely hated one major thing: the flies, the swarming insects that bombard you like they are protecting the park from human intruders. It was so bad ,no amount of repellent prevented their never ending attacks. Had to cut the trip short around that area. Still worth the trip. There are other park spaces to explore..one area in the marshes was very nice.Lots of birds and you can rent a canoe in groups or solo. Won't return but I am glad I experienced the park.

Went for the 2022 birding festival. It was amazing. Park is really well kept. There are active conservation projects ongoing within the park, which is nice to see. All the staff were amazing. It's about 9$ per person to gain access for the day. 2 shops. They sell small snacks (chips candy etc) and cold drinks, so you need to pack a lunch for yourself. Nice clean bathrooms. Our guided tours for the birding festival were AMAZING. The tour guides were so so friendly and knowledgeable. Would 100% book those again.

The serene beauty of this amazing park will tranquil every soul. Located at the southern most part of Canada, welcomes thousands of migratory birds during spring. Good place for cycling, hiking with friends and family. The best moment of my visit was the sunset (unfortunately couldn’t click picture perfectly as I was a bit late)I have never seen a soothing sunset ever before. Overall, a good experience to freshen up your mind.

Visited this national park during the Canada Day long weekend 2022. Well worth the drive from Toronto! It's beautiful. The kayak rental through the marsh is reasonably priced and highly recommended. Point Pelee aka the southernmost point of mainland Canada is easily accessible and has an interestingly tropical/Caribbean vibe. Fantastic place for the geography nerd!
