We enjoyed a visit to this shop filled with beautiful rugs and kits that will allow you to make your own. The woman in the shop was quite friendly and explained some of the process to us.

This shop is a gem, situated in a very old house and also has a hooked rug museum upstairs. Beautiful dyed wool, linen, yarns, hand crafted hoops, frames, stands and lots and lots of patterns to choose from. Carol, the owner, is an encyclopedia of hooking history and techniques. Well worth the visit!!

Carol is truly amazing...she. took the time to show me the basics of rug hooking. Now I'm hooked...LOL! I'm now starting on my 6th rug. In the past couple years I've purchased three (gorgeous) rugs from Spruce Top ...as well as 3 patterns and beautifully coloured wool. Lovely place and lovely people....RIP Carol...

Spruce Top has such a welcoming environment, a fantastic selection of hand dyed wool, and the owner Carol is so friendly and helpful. She's always willing to help you out with your project, whether it's the basics you need, advice on dying or how to hook a certain effect.
