  • This little jewel is just north of the city, but far enough to make you forget the city even exists. It has a great range of trails running through it, along with a large lake in the middle of it...

  • We walked the John Howard trail and back on the Hawk trail. Beautiful views and love the fresh smells from the forest. Amazing pine tree on the Hawk trail.

  • Very nice place for walking or cycling. There is a nice body of water. It is picture-perfect in the fall.

  • Oh this is a magnificent park, with easy and long enough trails for everyone and beautiful views. All the trails I have been on this park are mostly flat, which makes it easy for those with certain conditions. And all of them offer beautiful forest settings, completely natural surroundings and quiet time. The park gets you far enough from traffic noise (in contrast to Centennial park which is beautiful but some parts have too much noise during the day because there's construction going on in the back and there's a highway there too). This is a beautiful place to go and relax, and enjoy nature. I recommend it in the fall (October, photos are from October 10), the colors are STUNNING.
  • We took the whole family for an afternoon walk. Beautiful scenic trails. Cute little critters and tons to keep even my Youtube adicted kids distracted for a few hours. I love the lake and the small creeks with the sturdy bridges. There are markers on the trail and clear maps to follow if you get lost. Lots of benches for resting and even bathrooms here and there. It's mostly clean and very well taken care of.
  • Beautiful park. One main large loop that is very groomed and easy to walk (takes around 45 minutes) but has a few side trails along the way that are less groomed and more difficult (a lot of tree roots and rocks) which are also fun. Lots of great views, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stroll through a park!
  • Very well maintained trails, parking and public washrooms. Gorgeous park with a lake, forest, nice lookouts, bridges, benches and many trails to pick from. Winter update... The main trails are very well cleared and the park is beautiful in a completely different scenery. I recommend wearing cleats in cold weather, some areas are slippery.
  • Awesome place to spend time with friends and family. The landscapes are simply breathtaking 😍 and worth spending your evenings for a short or a long walk.
