Reif Estate Winery, Niagara-on-the-Lake

We came here as our second stop on the Taste of the Seasons. The property was beautiful. One of the best we saw all day. It was extremely scenic and relaxing. Unfortunately, I was not crazy on the samples. We received a red wine with chili. I found the wine to be quite peppery and not very enjoyable. The food wasn’t remarkable. I would come back to give it a second try due to how beautiful it really was there - but it definitely wouldn’t be my most anticipated stop.

Winery has a beautiful location and offers group tours at a reasonable price of $20 for 40 plus mins which also includes 3 different wine tastings. Our tour guide explained everything very well while giving us the tour of wine making process. Winery also has a small restaurant to eat and enjoy a drink while sitting in outside patio. You can also buy their wine right from the shop. Definitely a good place to go on a sunny weekend if you’re visiting Niagara.

Started our day with a tasting at Reif and did not go wrong! Server (George) was knowledgeable and attentive - we had a great chat about wines. He listened well and selected very appropriate wines for us. My wife is whites and fruity - I prefer fulsome reds. Cost is very reasonable.

Nice and refined winery. Sadly, the wines we tasted didn’t win our hearts. Pleasant experience nevertheless. Would give it a second chance again, sometime in the future… hoping for a collection of wines more to our liking.

We had such a great time on our wine tour and Adam was an awesome bartender! He was so nice, knowledgeable, and provided us with a great experience. The wine was delicious and I think this was my favourite winery of the day! 10/10 and a big thank you Adam for an awesome time!
