Arguably the city’s number one tourist attraction, historical ByWard Market offers an eclectic mix of shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and nightclubs. Reconciling contrasts such as secluded courtyards and bustling streets, a local farmers' market and artisans’ stands, the market is the city's leading destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Walk between outdoor stalls with fresh flowers, fruits, and vegetables., then look for local trend-setting artworks. Stop by a little teashop and experience the small neighborhood feel. The market is also home to museums, specialty food shops, hair and beauty salons, and over 500 businesses. Spent a few hours roaming and exploring this place and it was a fun experience. There are a variety of restaurants, souvenir shops, and stores. The atmosphere is buzzing with tourists and something seems to be always happening. Would return.

Fun place to visit while you are in Ottawa! Tons of cute little shops including local fresh food, souvenirs, good restaurants, and more. It is located right beside CF Readeau which make it convenient for you to shop around and find a place to eat. Tons of restaurants to pick from.

A great public market in Ottawa. It has everything you want. Eat, drink, shop at the same place. Wonderful freshly baked goods at the bakery and pastries shops. Stalls serving differents varieties of cuisine. There's so many good restaurants, coffee shops and pubs around. Also, the Rideau Centre is only a couple minutes away. A fun place place to hang out or to find unique souvenirs.
-
This is essentially the street fair of Ottawa! Located downtown and only blocks from all of the government buildings. This market is filled with food, trinkets, material goods, and souvenirs. Outdoor and indoor shops, while it is late in the year, most outdoor shops are closed up. Very fun experience. Can't wait to do ot again this next summer!! Plus home to the original Beaver Tail! Don't pass that one up!

There are multiple stores and stalls selling anything from fresh produce, cheese, preserved meats and souvenirs. It’s well known occupant is the Moulin Bakery which named a cookie after President Obama’s prior visit. Many cultures’ cuisines are represented among the many vendors and eateries.
