amazing views of the fairmont and old quebec. Great place for photos and for a mini picnic. The uphill walk after a long day is very tiring so I'd save this for when you have more energy.

Very interesting museum and still an active military establishment. The views are incredible. Plan ample amounts of time to visit the museum and go all the way to the end to see the medal room. Very impressive. The tour is pretty fast and the stops in the little sub-museum spaces were a little too fast to get the opportunity to read the signs. It's located at the top of a rather steep hill. There were steps so I wouldn't recommend going with wheels (although the museum does have ramps) . Toilets are at the back of the museum. The little gift shop has Interesting toys and souvenirs.

A must go if you are in Quebec city. There is a lot of history here. The entrance is hard to find but once you make it in you're transported back in time. The guards and bare skin hats are on century and you can see them fire off a cannon everyday at noon. The museum where you buy tickets gives you a nice background on the citadel but the tour led by wonderful staff is definitely the highlight. Our tour guide was informative and very funny. Make sure you get free tickets to tour the governor general's quarters after your main tour. It is definitely worth going to see. We were lucky enough to only be in a group of three people.

Gorgeous view. The heaviness of history comes upfront with the walls and canons. The blue sky feels so close while the walls are so high. The green lawns are well maintained. What a great place to go.

It's a nice place for the views. You have to sign up for the tour if you want to go inside as it is an active military base. The tour is one hour long and is engaging on the history of citadel, the regiment and its current usage.

Highly recommended attraction in Quebec City. Loved the tour. We did both the Citadel tour and the Governor’s quarter tour. Beautifully kept site and well trained staff with great story telling. At the end of the Governor’s quarter tour (free), we got to go to the terrace to take in the view. Breath taking and educational at the same time. I will remember!
