Such a charming shop with great things to take home with you. Great knowledge about the area and the naming of the town. She told us about the fairy houses on the trail back at L'Anse aux Meadows, which we were very pleased we went back and hiked the trail at the end of our day.

Absolutely with a stop for unique, handmade crafts. Whalebone carvings, unique rughooking, jewelry, knitting and much more. I bought 2 pieces made by relatives of the owner. Way more than Viking souvenirs although the wood carvings and other Viking themed items are gorgeous. $5 whalebone pieces too. Better prices for comparable items at the L'anse aux Meadows gift shop.
