Create an itinerary including St Martins Sea Caves
Traverse the ocean floor to St Martins Sea Caves, where you can explore the caves that remain underwater for half a day. Timing of your visit is important, because the tide rises and falls about every six hours in the Bay of Fundy. During high tide, the caves and the paths to them are submerged, but when low tide hits, the pathways reappear and allow adventurous visitors to experience something truly uniqe. Explore inside the red cliffs to look for fish, coral, and erosion marks on the walls. Be sure to wear water shoes to protect your feet from the rocky ground. Klarna Trips's itinerary builder makes planning a St. Martins trip simple and quick.

  • Nice beach, the low tide exposes a couple of shallow caves that are off limits to the public due the danger of falling overhead rocks. The caves are nothing fabulous but the idea of receding seawater and accessing the caves is nice. The beach is rocky and in some parts you'll need to step into small shallow streams to get to the caves so be sure to wear beach shoes. A couple decent restaurant, a souvenir shop and icecream shop are walking distance. Good fun for a day.
  • Really nice place in the morning with the tide out! Just bring rubber boots to cross a stream that leads to the water in order to get right up next to the sea caves unless you don't mind your feet getting a little wet 👍
  • Beautiful spot, ample parking if you come before 11 on the weekend, and lots of little restaurants and ice cream nearby to enjoy before/after you walk at low tide. The pebble beach was a little bit treacherous for me in slides, I would probably go with closed toe shoes next time that won’t get rocks stuck in my shoes next time.
  • Definitely worth the small drive to see these wonders. Go at low tide so you can walk up to the caves. We wore sandals to cross the small rocky stream. Busy area so people will be in your photos. Stop by the little shop Once Upon a Tide - very nice souvenirs reasonably priced
  • This is a must visit. It is so beautiful and the water is Crystal clear. Make sure you check the tile chart before you come. We came at mid tile and need Sandles to walk over to the cave.
