Battery Provincial Park, St. Peter's

This place is beautiful. We spent 5 days here. Our site was a semi view of the water. Lot 44, Private site. close to bathroom. Close to town. Fishing right there at beach. Staff amazing.

The staff was fantastic and really made us feel welcome! The park had many tent sites available and he suggested site 42 as having a lovely view, but warned us of the gravelled incline as we were on motorcycles. The site was grassed over and generous enough for us to pitch our two backpacking tents comfortably. Drainage may be an issue for site 42 as they had taken pains to elevate a flat spot and provide a wee drainage ditch around it, so I would be mindful of that while pitching the tent. Caroline thought the showers were clean as did I.

Battery Provincial Park is a gem. Situated at St Peter's it provides spectacular views of St Peter's Bay. The Park is well laid out and features generous sized campsites that are in excellent condition. Both tent and RV sites are very well maintained and situated to allow easy access. The well maintained trails are a pleasure to walk. No question that we will visit this park often.

I needed to stretch my legs,so this was an excellent historical diversion. a walk along the canal is both informative and mind-clearing. Clean washrooms are a bonus.
