Head down to Kitsilano Beach, a beach packed with family-friendly entertainment. One of the most visited in the area, the beach caters to a range of tourist activities, including sports, swimming, and good old-fashioned sunbathing. Take a dip in the calm, inviting water after a game of tennis or basketball. At the northern end of the beach, you'll find a playground with slides, rides, and swings, as well as a set of beach volleyball courts. Public restrooms and concession stands make it particularly convenient. A visit to Kitsilano Beach represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Vancouver trip itinerary builder to plot your vacation.

We loved our walk along the seawall. The view changes as you walk around the bend. It was fun to gather a couple sea shells and sit on the beach. The trees along the path are so pretty.

Excellent beach in vancouver area with lot of activities for people of all ages. It is very scenic and lively beach with excellent view of the mountains and city. Lots of sports activities to enjoy. It is also easily accessible by public transit. The sunset at this beach is really awesome. Definitely going back !!!!

So many different cultures enjoying life and the outdoors together. What a beautiful sight to see! Someone at a restaurant recommended Kitsilano Beach to me and my wife and WOW this seemed to be the place that people come to when the weather is nice. People were friendly and non-judgmental. There was so much going on: rock climbing wall. Volleyball was being played everywhere. Basketball courts were occupied. There was a lot of people in the water, so my wife got in and said the water was warm. People sunbathing….the list goes on. They even had a hard stand building for a restroom and a concession stand that was nice and cool! Be mindful that you do have to pay for parking. It’s not free. Look for the kiosk machines throughout. Just to give you a estimate for parking, we paid $7 for 2hrs. If your hungry, thirsty or want a coffee, there’s several places to get that across the street.

A short beach to walk along unless you are supervising a toddler who keeps wanting to jump in freezing algae water. Perfect to forget how close to the concrete world you sit by. Close enough to make it quickly back to concrete world when your too tired of the surrounding starring crowds and just really need a ice cream. Volleyball seems to be a favorite activity. The boathouse also is a great place to partially retreat and have a fancy meal. Watch the clouds flow over the mountains while embarrassing how much freight comes through to supply our great country's economy and imagining how you could easily be up there with the gondola on Grouse Mtn or driving up Cypress Mtn and Mt Seymour.

One of the best in Vancouver. Can be busy in the summer. Has nearby tennis courts and basketball courts + washrooms and water fountains. Also a large parking lot if you need to drive. Mountain views and city views all at once.

We visit here on Fall and it was so beautiful. Not too many people but still get the picture of the city, beach and the mountain. My daughter loves the playground. It was raining alot but doesnt stop us to explore.
