Great place to gain insight of the history around this place/area. I first came to Whistler in 1976 when there was only a little tin box gondola and Blackcomb didn't exist. Just the Creekside base...

I truly enjoyed the Whistler Museum, it gives an exceptional "feel" to the early skiers of Whistler. Worth a visit as it brings to life the lives of those who helped make Whistler the place it is...

The entrance is by donation. The museum is small but a good way to kill the time and to keep kids entertained for a little while. It's also right next to the public library. There are lots of educational information on animals and the nature in the area, as well as an old gondola and an old chest of clothes for kids to play dress up.
-
It's a very small museum, that is worth visiting. See the real size Timber Wolf, the old Gondola, the evolution of skies. A donation of $5 is suggested.
-
Nice hangout place if you want to chill for an hour. Interesting tidbits about Whistler. You can take a picture with the Vancouver Olympic torch.
-
Amazing museum with an amazing tour offering as well! There is only pay parking in the area and the museum has a suggested $5 donation / person. It is physically small but there are a lot of cool things in it, would estimate about 45minutes to an hour to truly browse through everything!
-
Small cute museum with artifacts from Whistler's contemporary history. Entry by donation and close to the main bus loop.
