Stroll along White Rock Pier and admire the panoramic views of Semiahmoo Bay and the town of White Rock. The pier, which stretches for 457 m (1,500 ft) into the bay, offers picturesque views all year round, regardless of the weather. The now famous pier was first opened in 1914 to allow deep-water mooring in the town. Today, the pier buzzes activity and attracts both locals and tourists, who come to gaze at the sunsets and enjoy the fresh air. Keep your eyes peeled for seals basking in the warm, shallow waters below. Make White Rock Pier a centerpiece of your White Rock vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our White Rock route planning website.

Nice area to take a walk. Weather was great when we visited 70’s in October (global warming). Not too busy on a Wednesday afternoon. Lots of places to shop and eat just across the road.

One of the most beautiful places in BC especially on a sunny day. The sunsets are so colourful and beautiful. I haven’t seen better colours of sunset anywhere else. Shades of pink, blue, amber, orange, etc, the variety goes on. The walk along the promenade is so vibrant, lot of street vendors selling donuts, hot dogs and fine dine restaurants as well. White rock is a must visit almost any evening and day.

One of my favorite place to walk around, picnic, relaxing and watching sunset. It was reminding me of little beach towns in Italy that was how I feel for me. My babies love scooter around there and play at the beach. So cool to see a lot of starfish, crabs and fishes, so much fun for the girls even me

One of the best places for a romantic evening dinner followed by a walk. This on paper is the longest pier in Canada but Iona beach pier/walkway is way longer than this, but it's not counted as a pier. But that's just for walking and to get the workout in. This place is surrounded by all kinds of restaurants, which is great because people have the a lot of options to choose between family restaurants and booze bars. Best time would be around evening to catch a sunset here and after that the lights on the beach and pier light up which makes it look amazing. At times it is hard to find parking over the weekend but would highly recommend this place.

This place is so beautiful when the sunset is there. I love this place because it’s perfect for walking and for picnics! I came here with my mom alone and we had fun times together :) I’m going to come here again with my loved ones. Food and sightseeing here is amazing! Parking is okay priced.

Such a beautiful place for a walk, small picnic, and people watching. The only down fall is parking-this place gets so busy on a nice day that it’s hard to locate where to pack your car. I recommend coming earlier in the day so you are guaranteed parking in the lot closest to the pier. There are also many good restaurants, snack shops, bubble tea, and ice cream close by.
