Create an itinerary including Jackson Park
Jackson Park is a park south of Downtown Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Acquired in 1929, with the persistence of then mayor Cecil E. Jackson, Windsor City Council voted in favour of purchasing the land from the Jockey Club. At the same meeting where the land was purchased, City Council decided to name the new park after their Mayor. Jackson Park has long been considered one of Windsor's most beautiful parks and attractions. It is most known for its yearly display annual garden beds and a large array of perennial plants. In the winter months, Jackson hosts Bright Lights Windsor, a Christmas light display put on by the City.

  • Jackson Park is an incredible public space full of green. Lots of activities throughout the year and open to use by the public anytime. Great place for a picnic right now.

  • This park is beautiful and highly recommend it. In the summer they have an amazing garden, great for pictures or just walking around. Last time I was there we noticed several families having professional pictures taken. In the winter they put on an amazing light display that you can walk around. It is pretty extensive and I was surprised at how nice it was. I added some photos from my recent trip in the summer
  • What a fantastic park this is. We casually stumbled upon it after we got some takeout at a nearby restaurant and we're looking for a place to eat our food at. Parking lot is a generous size. Washrooms onsite is handy. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, well maintained. Seems to be a lot of war/war victim monuments, which was very cool to see. We'll definitely come back next Summer and enjoy it during the peak season. Highly recommend stopping here if you're looking for a park. 5/5. Follow me for more reviews, photos and tips.
  • Enjoyed the Christmas lights at this park. We went to Windsor for a weekend trip and stayed near the riverfront. We had planned to visit the Point Pelee National Park on Saturday entire day. We had some time to kill on Friday evening. Naturally we wanted to explore the city and restaurants. We stumbled upon this park while we were passing this area by seeing the lights display. We stopped by and had a tour. It was awesome. Though it was cold bit still we toured the entire park and saw all the light displays. Took so many photos and enjoyed the crowd as well. Children will definitely enjoy this place and you can easily spend 2-4 hours here. There were parking around the park and it was easy to find one. Once you enter the park you can plan how to cover the displays. The Christmas tree is definitely worth visiting. For children, you can even take the toy train which will give you a short tour. There are ample light displays and you will not get bored guaranteed. Washrooms are there if you have to use and a lot of food courts were also there for quick food. Definitely worth visiting during Christmas if you are in Windsor and all this for FREE.
  • Went there on New Years eve for the light festival they were having. The place was very nicely decorated with lots of lighting. Lots of beautiful attractions to take pictures. Wasn't too busy when we visited. Had bunch of food trucks in the parking space. The washroom was very clean with stocked toiletries. Overall had an amazing time.
  • It’s a amazing park in the middle of the city. There are plenty of parking and well maintained gardens. The location is great for a picnic or walk around with your family and friends. It is excellent location for outdoor pictures and photo shoot. The washroom is neatly maintained.
