Established in 1962, Musée National du Tchad showcases four exhibits that include prehistory, protohistory, archives and folk crafts, and traditions. Discover the pebble culture and Stone Age objects, see the baked bricks of the Boulala and Babalia people, as well as masks and different tools. Though some objects have been lost over the years, the museum continues to tell the story about the beginnings of human civilization. good enough for Chad conditions. Travelling in the city is not secure for various reasons. Only place to learn about Chad history

I am not too sure what to advise here, as I am not a huge fan of African museums. The displays and the overall set-up is a bit tacky I found.

The Chad National Museum was a truly amazing and eye opening experience. I’ve never been to a place even close to how powerful and Chad it made me feel. During the tour my family and I were in a small group of 100 people where we saw Gigga Chad himself (as shown below). There are thousands of people always in the queue of the as families from around the world are always making pilgrimages to the Museum so I suggest to buy tickets in advance. Overall a great experience and a great place to take the family on a weekend.
