So much ancient history here. Found it very interesting, Just a little disappointed that some displays only had Spanish information. Also, the information on some displays was very hard to read...

Definitely a great museum - and it tests your Spanish skills for non-Native speakers. Definitely does its best to decolonize the museum space! Also great content - learned so much about the history..... more

I'm giving the museum 5 stars cause I think it will be amazing once its finished. When I visited there was only really the basement exhibits open. That being said the quality of the exhibit was amazing. There was great info on the artifacts and about different cultures that lived throughout the country. Also written in English which was great for me!

Superb collection of local cultural heritage. Beware that rooms 1 to 8 of 12 could not be visited, but you're not informed of this when buying a ticket. Regardless, a must-see. There is so much to learn and do much scope for the imagination!

This is a high class, high quality museum. The exhibits are well put together similar to what you'd see at any world class museum. The architecture of the building is tastefully done. There's English on the majority of the plaques. Unlike other museums there is a fee for this one of 10,000 CLP for foreigners. There's also artefacts you can see here which aren't available anywhere else. Like 7000 year old mummies..

The second floor was closed and the 1st floor had no English translation on any exhibit. The overall display across the two floors open is very little compared to other museums. Besides the above the museum has some great pieces and very interesting information on the countries past cultures.

There’s plenty to see here, with some fascinating exhibits that are nicely arranged, Sadly the whole top floor is out of action due to a lack of funds. The displays are all in English as well as Spanish, but the size of some of the text is a little on the squinty side. Very nice place to spend a couple of hours.
