  • Great to see a small piece of significant history. Disabled access may not be the easiest attraction. Stunning scenery.

  • I went up to Jiankou from the Shun Tong fish farm center, got lost and it took me almost 2,5 hours to get to the wall. Extremely hard hiking with alot of dangerous slips and falls, dont go alone like i did and bring a guide if your not EXTREMELY experienced hiker. Can really recommend the walk from Jiankou to Mutianyu
  • If you only have one chance to go to the Great Wall, choosing Jiankou is the most worthwhile. This is the real Great Wall, and you can truly feel the greatness of ancient civilization. Of course, Jiankou is also the most precarious, and animals cannot climb over in many places. So you must have an experienced tour guide. We chose Great Wall Adventure Club (You can search on Google), and the guide Oliver took us through places where many people were afraid to go. Bravo!
  • Jiankou an incredible untouched piece of the wall beautiful scenery. When we went they had started repairing the southern end of the wall and are making their way up. Took us an hour to reach the wall from the village. Would do it again in a heart beat.
  • Amazing experience hiking this section of the wall
  • hire a local guide to help you if you need- we didn't hire one and then got lost, we still managed to climb on the great wall after almost 3 hours climbing in the rocks and woods. Besides that, it's very worthy to pay a visit, excellent views, it's the highlight of the trip!
