  • The scale of these ice sculptures and buildings in which you can enter must be seen to be appreciated.

  • It's impressive to see these giant "buildings" made from huge ice blocks, it's almost translucent and colorfully lighted at night. The area is huge park, and there are a variety of ice sculptures, and ice structures where you can walk up. There is an ice bar also where you can sit on ice stools covered with a fur mat. It's cold at night and at times your phone or camera will shut down, and need to be warmed up in your pocket in order to power back up. There is a cafe with food and drinks indoors to warm up. It's definitely fun to visit, just dress appropriately.
  • The Harbin International Ice and Snow 哈尔滨国际冰雪节 Hā'ěrbīn Guójì Bīngxuě Jié is an annual winter festival that takes place with a theme in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China, and now is the largest ice and snow festival in the world. At first participants in the festival were mainly Chinese, however it has since become an international festival and competition The festival includes the world's biggest ice sculptures. Officially, the festival starts on January 5 and lasts one month. However, exhibits often open earlier and stay longer, weather permitting. While ice sculptures are erected throughout the city, there are two main exhibition areas. Ice and Snow World is an area open in the afternoon and at night which features illuminated full size buildings made from blocks of 2–3' thick ice taken directly from the Songhua River. The park usually opens from late December to late February. In 1999, the first Ice and Snow World opened to public to celebrate the millennium. Each year the park has to be rebuild with newly designed ice buildings and snow and ice sculptures. In recent years, the park has been as large as 80 hectares. During the festival, there are ice lantern park touring activities held in many parks in the city. Winter activities during the festival include Yabuli alpine skiing, winter-swimming in the Songhua River, and the ice-lantern exhibition in Zhaolin Garden. I had visited there on 2018 around new year festival that my family turn back to china for along times no there, that year was attracting too many visitors. I love in the huge ice sculptures,Shows some extra ordinary ice carvings. Beautiful place. For toddlers, bring a sled along for kids to ride in, sold outside door for RMB100. There are some baby slopes for tobogganing. There are also plastic butt protectors for RMB10, which will work with snow slides, but make ice slides too fast. If the kids can handle the cold, it's worth a whole day. Expect hours long queues in the evening for the big slides. The individual ice slides are impressively long. The big doughnut family rides have massive queues too. If a small slide is empty, could be worth it to go a few times before a queue forms up again. Dress very warmly. We had heat pads in our shoes. I tried to go without it, and had to put them in when getting some food.
  • My second trip to ice festivals of the world after hokaido ice festival in japan. We cant stay outside for more than 10 seconds. Everything freezez out there. So much excited to be back there but twice is enough for us tho.
  • You will not imagine that that everything can made from ice! Is a huge place and you will see many things made from ice; building, tower, music Festival stage, everything from ice! Avail, this is the biggest ice festival around the world. Prepare your self because this place is completely huge! Amazing!
  • It's amazing experienced, I've been there twice but I loved it more in winter time ,ice sculpture make it unique , more fun if you try their slide, they have the longest slide for grown up and their also for kids. I got interested in ice biking looks fun but I haven't try it.i love this place so much , you must try it out! To find out how wonderful to be there.
