Learn about history, art, and culture at Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong's largest museum through interactive exhibits and performances. The venue aims to entertain while teaching, so you can count on performing arts, including Cantonese opera, and talks in the 350-seat theatre. Make your way through the New Territories Heritage Hall, the Gallery of Chinese Art, and even a Children's Discovery Gallery. If you want more, ask about the attraction's quarterly newsletters and learning kits for school children. This museum is worth to pay a visit, not only for the DunHuang exhibits, but also the Bruce Lee stories and Hong Kong 60's. Fans of 金庸 and 趙少昂 should visit their respective exhibition hall as well. An added treasure is the Children's Discovery Gallery on ground floor, where kids can have hands on with the exhibits. Adults will also find it interesting at the heritage toys exhibition hall which brings back their childhood memories.

Came here to see the Dunhuang: Enchanting Tales for Millennium exhibition. It was wonderful seeing the visual replicas. I felt there could have been a more geographical based introduction to the exhibit as there was just an assumption you knew where these special caves were upon entry. They could have had a map pin pointing the world, China, the province and cave location. There was also a Cantonese Popular Culture exhibit that was really worth visiting as someone who has enjoyed Hong Kong action movies from the 1980s and 1990s. The building was clean, spacious, yet it felt rather old fashioned with everything segregated into separate halls with sparse hallways not exhibiting anything.

i went there for DunHuang - Enchanting tales for millennium, standard ticket $10 only, if you have museum pass, you can access for free. i followed a tour guide and she have very details illustrations on each sections. If the museum can show the tour guide schedule and organize more tour guide service then it would be great! HKD$10 is very inexperienced price and you can spend a whole afternoon there! excellent exhibition and i have a great time there! thank you LCSD, HKJC!

Great way to spend on a rainy day. What a variety of areas to explore. Best part for us was visiting the Bruce Lee area. Parking available right next to the museum and a short walk to Newtown Plaza.
-
Highly recommended to visit for local and travellers. The exhibits are really high quality and of course for Bruce Lee fans 🥋😀 it is free for the general exhibits only a small fee for special exhibits if any
