The massive Po Lin Monastery boasts an exhibit hall for Buddhist relics, a meditation hall, a shrine, an abbot's chamber, and a scripture library. The monastery's biggest attraction, the impressive "Hall of the Ten Thousand Buddhas" attracts tourists with its impressive exterior adorned with minute carvings and reliefs. The interior of the hall is also lavishly decorated, and the colorfully painted ceilings particularly stand out. Climb to the top of the structure for panoramic views of the main courtyard and a Buddha statue. Run by monks, the monastery's vegetarian restaurant serves dishes made using fresh locally sourced ingredients. Put Po Lin Monastery and other Hong Kong attractions into our Hong Kong trip itinerary planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

A joy of not having you many tourist is that you get to enjoy the place a lot more. Surprised to see how decorated the place is with lanterns and Christmas flowers. Foggy and at times raining does gives this place q different feel. The relative calmness and silence of the place and the cows really make it very enjoyable. We have a set vegetarian lunch. The price was very reasonable and tasty.

Tempting as it is to just go back after trekking up those stairs to see the Buddah, don't leave before going to the Monastery too! It's great, really stunning and has some lovely little exhibitions explaining the history and production of the complex. Only 4 stars because it seems to be perpetually going through building works!

I absolutely loved my time here I get to see Hongkong locals doing their traditions (bowing and lighting incense sticks) making little donations, I was immersed just buy looking at the statues of Buddha wondering if it can feel my presence and hear my thoughts ☺️☺️ Inside felt peaceful,it might be a tourist attraction site but it holds more than that It's wonderful ❤️

Loved it, the cable car mainly crystal cable car is an amazing experience. And the walking path was also another amazing thing. I went their through crystal cable car and returned through walking and hiking path of 6km through forest area under cable car. And the Nong Pong village is also nice.

We went there on a rainy day and it was a unique feel. Just take bus no 23 from another terminal located close to Sha Tin bus terminal and enjoy the beautiful landscape around you. For return trip, just take the same bus from the bus stand located next to the village entrance.
