Old Town of Lijiang - China, Lijiang

A beautiful place to walk through during the day. We heard the night life is even better. Tons of bars and restaurants to choose from. Streams of water run along side the buildings.

It's the most beautiful old town I have ever been to. It's an amazing experience immersing myself in hundreds of years of history. The place is clean and well kept. Strolling down the streets you can find good street food, nice souvenir shops. At night, you must not miss the bars along the main street. Also, don't forget to enjoy the great view of the whole town from up the hill.

Beautiful place you need to visit

I stayed in the old town of Lijiang for a few days and well worth the visit (2012). Plenty of interesting local cultural places and shops to visit. Very toursity so you will not be lonely. In fact it gets a bit crowded but there is a very friendly atmosphere. You need at least 3 days here to experience everything. Great bars and restaurants with a variety of beverages and cuisines.

Ancient hill town reconstructed after the 1996 earthquake. Very pretty. Great tea houses and loads of craft shops, silversmiths and small stores selling snacks and treats. Cobbled streets, canals and scenic bridges. Very friendly people and lots of cultural experiences to enjoy.
