Observe a diverse selection of modern art at M50 Creative Park, a complex of industrial warehouses that now serve as the hub of Shanghai's arts scene. Take a self-guided tour for a chance to observe many different forms of art, organized by artists and studios from all around the world. The complex dates back to the 1930s and originally housed various local factories; today, the spaces contain an eclectic mix of traditional paintings, edgy street art, and wild abstract sculptures. Much of the displayed art can be purchased at reasonable prices. See M50 Creative Park and all Shanghai has to offer by arranging your trip with our Shanghai route planner.

  • This a great place to wonder round and let out your creative side. Nice for an afternoon wonder round when the sun is out. A delightful maze of creatives. Anything you can imagine, high end art...

  • LOVE IT!!!! Very interesting art district. There are galleries of art, paintings, haute couture, it is just an awesome place to spend a day. Great place to learn about new artists in China.

  • Very cool. A ton of variety. Lots of great corners and cubbies. Very easy to see a lot in once visit.
  • Near the train station. If you are interested in contemporary art, you can come and have a look. The works of some contemporary artists will be exhibited indefinitely, and some are for sale. You can also come and see it with friends.
