Create an itinerary including One Foot Island
Famous for its azure lagoon, One Foot Island is considered one of the most visually appealing islands in the country. The island rewards visitors with sweeping views and easy access to a lagoon known for its rich marine life. While most people just visit for a few hours for the world-class snorkeling, stay overnight by calling ahead of time and reserving the only cabin on the beach. Some palm trees provide shade, but take your own water and food. Also take your passport and get a unique stamp from the post office. Take the guesswork out of planning a Aitutaki vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

  • This lovely little island is what you would look for when thinking of a deserted island. Lovely little spot.

  • One of the most beautiful places I've ever been too 🏝. Highly recommended doing a day trip here from Rarotonga. Don't forget to stamp your passport at One Foot Island.
  • It doesn't get very much better than that. A place of breathtaking beauty. If you haven't been there yet: consider going there. Of course, the Cook Islands and Aitutaki are rather remotely located, and to get to One-Foot-Island (locally known as Tapuae Tai) you need to embark on one of those tour boats, but really, in my view it's worth it.
  • Arrived here on the vaka cruise and walked around the entire island. Very beautiful views with some good snorkelling areas too. Can also get your passport stamped for $2 NZD
  • Part of our islands tour, we stopped here for a swim and lunch. Explored the island, ate some nice food, saw the giant clams and soaked up the sights. You can get your passport stamped here too.
  • One Foot Island is the most beautiful island I've ever seen. If you're visiting the Cook Islands it's an absolute must-do! White sand beaches and crystal clear water is perfect for snorkeling. The Vaka Cruise took us there and also got us a stamp in the passport what is probably unique.
