El Toledo Coffee Tour, Atenas

More than impressed. I looked at many coffee tour options during my visit to Costa Rica and this is ultimately the one I chose, an I’m glad I did! Gabriel is very knowledgeable and informative. You can tell he is passionate about his craft. I loved every minute of this tour, and recommended this over the bigger commercialized tours. You really get a hands on, 1 on 1 experience here. The farm is absolutely beautiful I could spend all day there. The coffees, coffee tea, and coffee marmalades we sampled were amazing and I bought as many as I could fit in my carry-on to take back with me. Thank you Gabriel for this experience I won’t forget it. Expect to see coffee orders from me in the future.

I had a chance to take the El Toledo Coffee Tour in mid-October 2022. Gabriel and his entire team made it a very informative and worthwhile trip. The tour of his coffee production facility and farm and the information he shared on producing quality coffees, coffee wine and coffee marmalade was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. Highly recommend this tour if you have the chance to visit during a trip to the area.

We came here expecting to learn all about coffee and the organic process of production. We came away with so much more than that. We left with a deeper understanding of, and connection with, the entire ecosystem of Costa Rica, including the farmers. Gabriel is a most humble and compassionate farmer with a wealth of knowledge and a talent for helping you to think about everything we put into our bodies. Oh, and the coffee is delicious! Also, we thoroughly enjoyed lunch at his aunt's house! A very special experience. Muchos Gracias Gabriel and family.

A beautiful way to embrace sustainable culture. This farm and family are making changes locally that are in a global mindset and it is so powerful. Not to mention that the coffee & wine that is produced is QUALITY and so delicious. It was such a pleasure to experience this tour and when I am back in the area, I hope to visit time and time again. I will be bringing an extra bag to check simply to fill with their coffee, coffee jelly, wine (made with coffee fruit!) And more artwork by the lovely Yvette. Thank you so much.

We learned so much about the "Coffee Fruit" of Costa Rica. The history, the details of proper brewing and the Eco farming in harmony with nature. Presented in a very hands-on demonstration & coffee tasting experience along with a walk through the field, processing and roasting areas. Gabriel has great pride and a wealth of knowledge for the numerous edible plants on the family farm. Staying for 3 nights in the on-sight, Airbnb, container house then topped off with a delicious home-cooked meal at Auntie's house, made it an even sweeter experience.
