  • Beautifull beach with plenty of space to choose from. Several restaurants and shops. The coconut trees are making a natural umbrella from the sun. Reccomended

  • Beautiful and sandy beach. Not much people was at noon, few fishing boats. Beach has part where more waves and more calm areas with some corals. The sand is not so fine like in Puerto Viejo and with same clean warm water. We like this calm and not crowded beach.
  • Manzanillo is a fishing village and the furthest beach town nearest to Panama border In Costa Rica . It still feels rustic and Uncommercialised - I love it! Some basic hotels / cabinas , 1 local shop, a handful of sodas and bar/restaurants.. only transportation is the Mepe bus that comes maybe every hour or 3 a day… if you want to get there and around need to hire car or get scooter from puerto viejo. It’s amazing as it’s totally Caribbean vibes - only local food unlike nearby Playa cocles or playa Chiquita which are catered for more upmarket European /American tourists. The wildlife national park refuge is also great- donation to get in , and a do it yourself discovery trek (not for the Faint hearted ). On the beach tico crowd , wavy but swimming possible .
  • Nice park to hike but don’t expect to see much wildlife (more at Cahuita National Park)
  • Nice beach to go on long walks. The beach and city of Manzanillo are kept very clean. A more low key location with just the right amount of restaurants, accommodations, and grocery stores. Gets a little busy on weekends but pretty quiet during the week. At least while I was there.
  • One of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica 🇨🇷, located in the Atlantic Coast near the border with Panama. And also you can visit National Wildlife Refuge Gandoca Manzanillo and have a guided walk to watch flora and fauna, and visit the Mirador a watching stage to see the ocean and much more. I highly recommend this beach . It's a paradise.
