  • Very beautiful park with good hikes. Unfortunately when we went, it was very cloudy and we could not see anything from the viewpoints. But hiking in between their reserve is amazing. You can make it a couple of hours visit, by just doing the main trail, or you can spend the full day there as well doing all the hikes. In the entrance they also have a good restaurant. They offer parking for additional 5 dollars. It is located about 5min before the park and there is a little bus taking people from the parking lot to the park entrance and vice versa. It is well organized.
  • Amazing! This was a beautiful park. We visited in September which is the rainy season but we got there early and so were able to hike all the trails before the afternoon rain. We opted not to pay for the tour or a guide and were still able to see a lot of different plants, animals, and insects. It was very peaceful and quiet and we didn’t see anyone else for the first hour we were there. I imagine that will be different in the sunny season. This is well worth the $25 each.
  • such a beautiful place. trails were amazing and there were rocks along it all for grip and stability. although it rained while i was there i was overwhelmed by the beauty of this forest. if you’re looking to see a lot of wildlife i recommend a guide 100% but if you’re like me i enjoyed the fauna and stayed close to a guide group so i could see what they pointed out. absolutely worth entrance fee also 25$ each.
  • The ticket price for entry for foreigners is quite steep to not have a guide included, and I didn't find the front desk staff to be that receptive. That being said, the cloud forest is lovely and makes for a nice morning (I spent about 2.5h total, walking different parts of several different trails). There are signs at all the trailheads and trail meeting points so that you don't get lost (but some really need some refurbishing/updating). I would strongly recommend coming with a guide if your budget permits give that it's nearly impossible to spot any interesting animals solo, without a telescope. Otherwise lovely morning spent here - but make sure to bring a poncho or umbrella as the weather can change quite quickly. Outside of the reserve there's also a cafe with many hummingbirds (free and worth visiting on your way out).
  • Amazing cloud forest of course. We arrived first thing in the morning and it wasn't very crowded. We were glad we declined a guided tour, we like to hike at a brisker pace than some, and we could go it alone without too many other people. We saw monkeys, birds, rodents, so many interesting plants and insects. Tread quietly and keep your eyes open. We walked over 8 miles total in about 4.5 hours and were able to hit most of the trails.
