Went here today. The guide was super helpful and if you have the time get there tour. It’s the same price for admission with or without the guide. But having the guide makes sure you don’t miss out on any of the tiny orchids that might go unnoticed. Such a cool place!

I am so glad I did the tour with the young professional guide. I felt he was excellent! I learned so much about orchids and saw so many from the tiniest to knowing about larger strains/hybrids. I felt i got to see many of the indigenous to CR orchids in a small enough space to not feel overwhelmed, highly recommend!

The Monteverde Orchid Garden is a magical place to visit. David, our guide, provided us with an enjoyable and richly informative tour. He pointed out flowers that I otherwise never would have seen. I returned later in the week and had a good time trying to find small flowers and plants on my own.

beautiful collection of orchids and knowledgeable staff. $14 entrance fee per person includes a guided tour. although the garden has 100+ types of orchids only a fraction of them are blooming at a time. one downside it is a bit expensive for the size (the garden is not very big)

Positively surprised! We were extremely fascinated by the many orchid species they had. The tour was really nice and also kept short. However, it was still extremely informative and all questions were well answered. A nice activity to do in Monteverde.
