Red History Museum, Dubrovnik

Very well organized, interactive museum with lot of information about those years. I especially liked the "rooms" with retro furniture and household items, grocery products of old Yugoslavia. I could have spent there hours reading all the information and opening all doors and checking all exhibits. You can try an old type writing machine, listen to music, sit into the old Yugo car and much more. It felt like time travel. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Discount with the Dubrovnik Pass.

It was one of the best museums we've ever been!!! It was interactive. There you can see how Sovietic houses were. We could open every closet and every cabinet was there and see products, clothes, books even toys they had!!!! Really interesting!!!! We recommend it for sure!!!!

A real gem of a place, extremely well curated and so much information and interesting pieces on display. They’ve made great use of the space to provide a truly engaging and interactive experience. Great addition of old school drinks and sweets. I learned lots and spent a thoroughly enjoyable hour and a half reading everything in sight! Some great souvenirs on sale too. Lea was super welcoming. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Very fun and interactive. You can even eat a Yugoslav candy. Highly recommend anyone who comes to Dubrovnik. Best museum here imo

Really interesting and comprehensive look at Communism in former Yugoslavia with an emphasis on Croatia. It’s not a large place but there’s lots to read and the interactive elements are nice. I really enjoyed listening to some music from the old records and hearing different genres. Dubrovnik pass gets you a discount on admission. My only small feedback is that the headphones could use replacing - they’re pretty worn down and felt gross on my ears. Similarly, it would be nice to have a way to better sanitise the VR device because it also felt gross on my face. And the VR ad tablet in the bedroom area wasn’t working when I visited.
