At Sipan, you'll see houses made of stone, plus rustic churches and castles. Known for its numerous eagles and excellent vineyards, the island was a Roman settlement one millennium ago, which became a summer residence of 15th-century Croatian nobility. Still later the land was known for agriculture like olives and citrus fruit. You can access the island by boat and visit some of the 34 churches. The village is home to about 450 people. Using our international travel planner, Dubrovnik attractions like Sipan can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • I had already visited last year our second stop on the boat trip and found it quite small so I just went swimming by the pier in clear water.

  • We were quickly done on this island, after 20 minutes we went back to the boat. Nothing interesting to see.

  • Just another average island, fun to go if you are on a trips island, however to visit it alone not worth at all 😊
  • Visited this island as part of a 3 island tour and it was such a nice visit!
  • Very beautiful, sleepy and a great place to enjoy sun and sea, whichever part of the island you are on.
  • Beautiful island with a very relaxed atmosphere, not far from the Croatian mainland.
  • Beautiful island very quiet just what I needed.
