    If you’re passing it’s worth making a quick stop. You can drive off the main road down a single track to nearly the fortress. Then walk the last 5 minutes. There is a snake waning but didn’t see any.....  more

    Good area for snake-watching and lizards, must be beautiful in the spring. Worth the quick stop although the trees en-route may scratch your car.

    Well worth the walk, although a little hairy walking along the road. Take some water and sunscreen.Views are amazing.

    Very nice fort near the river Cetina. It's the only fort that was defending Poljica's Republic. It's commander was famous Žarko Dražojević, former great duke. For more info, contact CoolTour guide. Great sight for a picnic.

    Though the walls are mostly torn down, it's easy to imagine what this castle would have looked like several hundred years ago. It was very quiet in the off season (we went in May), and we spent a while just contemplating the history of it. The weather also added to the epic vibe, with dark clouds and spots of sun bringing drama. We visited 6 old fortresses on our trip around Croatia, and I found this one the second most impressive (only after Utvrda Ključica).

    All but empty in February, this ruined fortification was worth visiting despite the icy bura(or bora) winds.
